Tom Hughes founded Hughes Supply Company in 1985. The one-man shop was based in his hometown of Pax, WV and was housed in a building Tom’s grandfather constructed in 1915. At its inception, HSC was a sales and service company performing general electrical repairs and selling and repairing mine related communications products and electrical components. Tom quickly grew the company to 10-20 employees and HSC remained that size until 2008 when it began to diversify over a broad range of products and services.
